About the Film
A quiet man, Rex works hard, avoiding the racial and social conflicts that surround him, in order to provide for his family, in the far North Coast of Australia. His attempt at anonymity is challenged when a member of the community is killed in police custody. The victim’s wife, Macy, still reeling from the shock of her husband’s violent death remains suspicious. A police investigation takes place, announcing that the death was an “accident”. This proclamation draws Rex into a conflict he has tried to avoid for most of his adult life. He takes the law into his own hands to protect his community but risks losing his family as a result.
